The only real difference that I made this week was not drinking. Oh to think that a refreshing afternoon cider could be responsible for my gradual weight increase.
I also made other changes which now I've come to think of it may also have an impact. This is the reason we should take baby steps and only change one variable at a time.
Okay so the other changes I made were to cut out all dairy and grains completely. I also haven't baked my 'amazing' Sweet Potato Brownies this week. I was having a couple of squares each afternoon and then again with a cup of tea at night. Oh, the secrets are being revealed. I also haven't been sharing a piece of dark chocolate with my buddy at lunch time either.
Crazy to think that all these little things can add up. I think this was a big realisation for me this week. I have been eating protein and vegies for lunch and dinner everyday for months and my weight was slowly creeping on. It's that "but I had a good lunch so I can have a little treat" mentality that is seeing my good results slowly unravelling.
700 grams is 700grams and in the scheme of things that is a healthy weight-loss. It funny how when we really have a look at what we've done over the week we can see what works and what needs to change. Good job!
ReplyDelete700g is a healthy loss. I totally get the having a healthy lunch so then I allow myself to have a treat. Good luck for next week.
